…we are now beginning the road to a larger 2012 and we need your help!
We are honored to host a series of races that honor the Heroes of 9/11 and the emergency responders and military members who have carried their legacy or given the ultimate sacrifice in the war on terror ever since. You are a crucial link in the chain.
Our military hold the line throughout the world and on battlefields in Afghanistan, Iraq, and more recently, Libya. Our emergency responders hold the line on the home front – whether entering burning buildings, providing emergency assistance, or securing our streets – they have always carried the burden. The final piece is bringing communities together, to never forget, and to honor the fallen by challenging the living.
We are committed to making the 9/11 Heroes Run the marquee event each September 11th, one that allows us to give back to our heroes. This is a grassroots event strengthened by the determination of everyday Americans. It demonstrates that despite our differences, we are one country, indivisible.
If you are interested in getting involved and hosting a 9/11 Heroes Run in your community, email Director@911HeroesRun.com with the city & state you are looking to host in and your contact information, and 1 of 2 National Race Directors will send you the Volunteer Race Director application and Commitment Letter to fill out in order to begin your journey in honoring the fallen by challenging the living.
Don’t think you can do it? Don’t worry, you will never be alone! The Travis Manion Foundation provides and supports you and your team from start to finish. Check out here some of the information manual developed to streamline the experience of making your 9/11 Heroes Run a success. We provide you all of the information and tools to execute a 9/11 Heroes Run in your local community, whether in a small town or a large city. What we’ve consistently found is that Americans are exceptionally giving. There are many local and national organizations to work with who also share our vision and will directly aid your success.
Again, thank you for your efforts in helping us in our mission to continue to hold our annual 9/11 Heroes Runs each year and bring more and more communities together to remember.
Never Forget,
Lindsey Finnegan & Billie Vollmer
